January in general was just a really great month.

 I am sitting here trying to articulate what it was exactly that made it that way, but honestly I can’t put my finger on one thing or another. I think for the most part we are really finding our groove in the adventures of parenting, and Jett has been such a joy to watch grow and learn by the day.

2018 Resolutions (and plans for this blog!)

I know - we are a couple of weeks into January and I am just NOW getting around to setting my goals for 2018. Honestly, I wanted to wait a few days (ahem, or 13) to let that first initial emotion of “resolution-setting” settle so I could take a more realistic look at what I’d like to see for myself in the upcoming year. Now that my resolutions are set... I debated this morning writing a long, drawn out post where I got into the nitty gritty about my personal goals but instead have decided that I’m going to share how those goals will influence my blog content coming in 2018.

First Family Hike

For those of you who haven't yet heard our story, Brandon and I met studying abroad in Italy in 2011. Brandon was a seasoned traveler, and I was on my very first trip out of the country. We came from very different worlds, and even though world travel was new to me, this trip had awoken a deep love for adventure that I never knew that I had. (It helped that I had fallen in love with a boy who shared with me HIS love for adventure!)

Jett Oliver: 3 Months

Jett is now three months old!

Things are really starting to get fun as Jett is learning new skills and developing his personality daily! He is such a sweet little guy, always happy, and the rare moments he isn't don't last very long. His hair is starting to grow and become very fuzzy as its straight and sticks up - I'm sure until there is enough of it to lie down - but for now I have been calling him Mr. Fuzzy.
