Quick weekend trip
Last week was one of those weeks that was jam packed with little room for rest or relaxation. I am definitely a introvert, meaning that a week spent with little downtime to refuel also means a tired, worn out, stressed out me. This past weekend we had a quick 3 day trip to Scottsdale, Arizona planned and it could not have come at a more perfect time than after my crazy week. The main reason for our trip was to go to the Final Four games in Phoenix but the rest of the time spent would mean golf for the guys, and you guessed it.. plenty time for relaxation for me!
Scottsdale is one of my favorite places to come and relax. We got married here two and a half years ago, at a country club that resembles a Tuscan villa on a mountain overlooking a beautiful golf course. The sunsets are always incredible and there are BIG saguaro cacti everywhere you look. We have been here many times before- the last being over Christmas and New Years, but never have I been here around this time in April. Some of the cacti were blooming and the whole side of the mountain glowed yellow from the wildflowers that grow this time of year.
It's the little trips like this that I always feel so blessed I am able to take. The ones that refuel you, give you some time to think and recoup. And now as I fall back into the daily grind, I do so ready to take it on fueled up on sunshine, lazy mornings and time spent with family.
