Thanksgiving Sunset
We realized last week that this wa sour 5th year spending Thanksgiving together in Scottsdale. It has become a tradition, spending the long weekend with Brandon’s family in sunny Arizona and one we have really come to look forward to as the 70 degree November temperatures offer as Kansas City is just starting to get cold and dark, the streets lined with barren trees. It was last year at Thanksgiving that we announced to our family that we were pregnant so it was even more special to bring baby Jett out since it was last year we were only imanging what it would be like to have a 4 month old with us at the thanksgiving table! Now we always joke that we can’t imagine NOT knowing who Jett was, what he looked like and his little smile. It’s like we have known him all along, and those memories of only knowing him as “the size of a lima bean” or “the size of an apple” are long gone.
I have so many things to be thankful for this year, and this healthy, sweet, smart little boy and his loving daddy tops the list. Now it’s on to Christmas season, more time to count my blessings, establish new traditions, and see the magic of the season through Jett’s eyes!
