Striped Scuba Dress

maternity style

Lately I have been drawn to bold prints- (stripes, gingham, and polka dots seem to be my current favorites). I also feel like at this point in my pregnancy, with just 5 short weeks to go, I don't want to invest in any more maternity items, unless it is something I think I can wear after baby as well. This dress caught my eye when I was planning for our trip to Italy and when I saw it was made of a scuba material, I was sold! Scuba is quickly becoming my hands down favorite because it stretches really well and still manages to look really well made, a little bit fancier than cotton. Which means I feel comfortable wearing it to a wedding, or as a casual daytime dress! Also, the bow was such a cute detail, I couldn't pass it up!

I sized up two sizes in this dress just to be safe, but probably would have been fine just one size up as the skirt is more of an A-line design and doesn't need to stretch to fit the bump!

I mentioned this on Instagram, but just wanted to reiterate here - THANK YOU everyone for the comments and messages over the last two weeks. I only logged on when we had wifi, which was typically the short period of time before going to bed every night, so it was hard to keep up with all your comments! Its always nice every now and then to not have phone service at every moment of every day, it was a nice little break that I think I really needed! But I'm happy to be home and focus on the next big event- baby C's arrival!!!
